*Why can't I login?
If you are absolutely positive that you are using the correct username/password combination [these are not case sensitive] , then it is very likely that if you cannot login to the MicroAge Training Portal, then your browser does not have "cookies" enabled. 

Please read below on how to enable cookies, what they are, and why you need them to be able to login.

 

*What is a "cookie"?
A cookie is a small text file which is stored (temporarily in our case) on your hard drive by the MicroAgeCS.com Training Portal. Allowing a Web site to create a cookie does not give that or any other site access to the rest of your computer. Any cookie that our website stores on your computer, can ONLY be read by MicroAgeCS.com  NO other website can retrieve this cookie or any information stored within this cookie; on the same token, MicroAgeCS.com cannot retrieve cookies which you may have received from visiting other websites. For this reason, cookies are very safe, and do not pose any security risk. Because cookies are only Text files and cannot be 'executed', there is no threat of viruses spreading through cookies.

 

*Why do we use cookies?
When you login to the Training Portal, MicroAgeCS.com will write a cookie to your hard drive containing ONLY your userid. This enables the website to remember who you are while you navigate from page to page, enroll in courses, review your schedule, or edit your personal data. The cookie is deleted as soon as you click the logout button, or close your browser. 

*If you are using a computer which other people have access to, please remember to always logout from the Training Portal or close the browser when you are done.

 

*What if cookies are disabled on my browser?
As we mentioned above, if you do not have cookies enabled, then you will not be able to take full advantage of the MicroAgeCS.com Training Portal. For the reasons described above, we suggest that you enable cookies on your browser, and/or accept the cookie that the website will send to your browser.

 

How can I enable them?
To enable cookies, follow the instructions below for the browser version you are using.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.x

  • Select "Internet Options" from the Tools menu.
  • Click on the "Security" tab.
  • Click "Custom Level" button.
  • Scroll down to the "Cookies" section.
  • To enable:
    • Set "Allow cookies that are stored on your computer" to "Enable".
    • Set "Allow per-session cookies" to "Enable".
  • Click "OK".
Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.x
  • Select "Internet Options" from the View menu.
  • Click on the "Advanced" tab.
  • Scroll down to find "Cookies" within the "Security" section.
  • To enable:
    • Select "Always accept cookies".
  • Click "OK".
Netscape Communicator 4.x
  • Select "Preferences" from the Edit menu.
  • Find the "Cookies" section in the "Advanced" category.
  • To enable:
    • Select "Accept all cookies" (or "Enable all cookies").
  • Click "OK".
